FBCHS Field Trips and Activities

Field trips and activities are planned by the members of the Fort Bend Christian Home Schools support group.  Attendance at these events, however, is open to anyone wishing to attend, members and non-members of FBCHS, provided any necessary registration requirements are met.  Any fees charged by the organizer of the event are not in excess of the cost of supplies/admittance fees.

Park Day

The third Wednesday of each month, August through May, has been set-aside for our Park Day Program.  We meet at Travis Park in Rosenberg from 11 AM to 1 PM unless announced differently.  Travis Park is located off Damon Street between Avenues L and N.  This is a great time for children and parents to enjoy some great fellowship and exercise.  The park is equipped for all ages with basketball and tennis courts, jungle gyms, swings, baseball diamond, large grassy areas, and covered pavilions.  If you have any questions about Park Day, call any Steering Committee Member.

Field trips

Our field trip coordinator for 2002-2003 is asking for volunteers to plan field trips.  We would like at least one field trip planned per month.  A different person can sign up for each month to plan the event(s) for that month.  This would include choosing the location, advertising the event at least one month prior to the event.  Lori will make sure all runs smoothly by lining up persons to do the planning, calling with reminders, etc.

Field trips will start in August 2002 and go through May 2003.  Please call Lori at 281-346-0457 and let her know what month for which you would be willing to plan field trip(s).  If we all work together, it won’t be a hardship on any one person.  Please call Lori as soon as possible so we can start planning a successful year!
